One of the most popular clothing companies today, H&M derives from Sweden itself! Its appeal is mainly towards the teenage age group and has grown largely in popularity in recent years. They are also known for their fair prices, and now having a market in children’s clothing as well.

Although heavily influenced in today’s world by popular trends and ongoing movements, the company was actually founded in 1947 and was aimed for women specifically. It wasn’t until 1968 when a men’s line was formally introduced.

Many people actually do not realize that one of the largest music platforms derives from the Swedes. The application was launched in late 2008 by founders, Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon. Today, it is one of the largest music platforms globally and has a net worth of $2.6 billion dollars.

Spotify now also hoists over 3,000 employees as well. With over 71 million paid users and nearly 160 million active listeners on their platform, it’s no surprise at the success Spotify has had.

Introduced in 1879, Absolut is one of the most-well recognized vodka brands in the entire world. It was founded in southern Sweden, specifically in Ahus. Although originating in Sweden, the largest market now for the vodka is the United States.

Volvo

In 1927, Gustaf Larson and Assar Gabrielsson founded the vehicle manufacture powerhouse in Gothenburg, Sweden. The company thrives on aiming to produce the safest vehicles on the market. It has had many awards for just how far they’ve taken their safety measures for their vehicles.

Volvo is also well-respected for the comfortability they provide with their vehicles as well, with it being one of their top priorities aside from safety. It’s safe to say Volvo truly does go above and beyond in what they do.

IKEA

Last but not least is the furniture company, IKEA. It was founded in 1943 in the town of Almhut, Sweden. It is obviously quite well-known for its furniture selection. Since founded in Sweden, the company has expanded into 38 different countries and has over 332 massive-sized stores. One of their main countries is Great Britain, with an estimated 1 in 10 furniture purchases being from IKEA.

They are also quite well-known for their delivery systems, delivering an average of over 800 million cubic feet of products every year. Their numbers continuously increase every year, and partially due to business moves such as annually lowering their prices on an average of 2-3 percent every year.
